Weight Loss Journey

I believe I have found what this blog will be about, but I am not sure if I am going to share it just yet.

Today I started the "Slim Fast Diet", which should be called the Starve to Death Diet. For a hefty girl like me, I don't miss many meals. My husband and I have been eating pizza products most nights for dinner and sometimes during lunch too. I know that is unhealthy, but sometimes it is our only option.

Last night my husband and I went to a movie, out to eat, and then to buy my diet supplies. At the movie, I had a lot of popcorn, some pieces of chocolate, and a pop. we ate at Golden Corral, so I ate way more than I should have. I honestly felt like a prisoner eating their last meal, and sadly, it wasn't that great.

Diabetes, cancer, and depression, among others runs in my family and I realized I needed to do something about my weight. Curtis and I have also been trying for almost 3 years to have a child, and I keep thinking that maybe if I lose weight it will help my chances of getting pregnant. I want a child more than anything I have ever wanted in my life.

I have printed out a menu/calendar that will help me stay on track. I am allowed 1 Shake for breakfast, a snack, 1 Shake for lunch, another snack, and then a healthy 500 calorie dinner. Because I am gone 4 nights of the week babysitting, I purchased a few lean T.V. dinners that are all 330 calories or less. I also got yogurt and 100 calorie Quaker chocolate crisps for snacks. I'm so glad I found chocolate, because I am addicted.

The first Shake wasn't too bad, but I can't wait until my powder form comes in from Amazon.com. I'm hoping it won't be as chalky and chewy. This is going to be extremely hard to stick to because in reality, I love food.

Each time I blog, I will post my Short Term Goal and my current weight.

Short Term Goal: Lose 10 pounds by my birthday, February 7th.
Current Weight: Between 280 and 300 pounds. (I will be getting my scale back in a couple of days to give an exact weight.)
